A Work In Progress

I am still working on the new record (I realize that it has been a long time coming). Right now I am in the process of recording some new tracks to My Armour, and progress is coming along.

With the arrival of my new equipment, I’ve strapped myself back into the recording artist/producer seat. Electric guitar parts are always my favorite to record… they really fill out the mix and give the songs some life.

On this track, I was experimenting a little in recording style, and decided to push some low volume electric guitar through my new condenser mic, and then really crush it with compressors… I’m very happy with the way it turned out. Hopefully you will be able to hear the difference.

Some of these guitar sounds are feeling pretty epic to me… and I really can’t wait to show them to you.

Soon. Soon.

Be well,
Stephen

ANOTHER PROJECT: Chemicolour

Chemicolour

Chemicolour is a bi-coastal shoegaze project, created by Eli Lhymn (Helen Stellar) and Stephen Biebel (Mor Amour), who happen to be childhood friends.

“Stephen and I met in the 6th grade in music class. He was already playing in bands, and taught me my first guitar riff. Now that we’re about 3000 miles apart, we decided to remotely record songs together in our respective studios in LA and Brooklyn. This is what came out.” -Eli
